Life is a funny, funny thing. I've found myself in a really weird place within the past 8 or 9 months. I am myself of course, but different. Some of the different is good, but some not so much. I've been trying lately to go back to looking for the good in people, and recognizing flaws but not dwelling on them (this is the case with myself too). Oftentimes, I find myself getting wrapped up in negative moments that cause me to not dwell on the positive, and that needs to end. I have been through too much in my life to fold over trivial things. But Im going to start making a conscious effort to start to find the good things in people, even if I've been upset by them, hurt etc. Life is just too short.
Back to finals!

Thank God.
So thank god but I got passed.
I was so incredibly relieved, it took a huge weight off my shoulders.
I said goodbye in my own way to something that had been on my mind a lot lately. It was a relief too.
And the bursar made me cry today, I've decided that if I ever have to work an office job in my career for any reason, i am going to try to be incredibly kind to whoever walks through the door b/c you never know what people are really going through.
Oh yea, and if I want to be excited about something, I'll be excited about it.

Genuine
Havent written in a while...school/life has been busy and crazy and I feel like I havent gotten a chance to stop and breathe. Thankfully, KTA is now officially over and I can begin to relax. I've let myself get stressed out by events and people so much lately, that I need to stop and just breathe. This semester has been different for me, I've decided to only spend time with people who are genuinely my friends. People who are going to benefit me as a person and arent going to want me to act a certain way.
Gone with the old, in with the new.
just something to think about.

Currently Happy from...
I've been neglecting my blog :(
Anyway, I think I may be getting a tad sick, nothing too horrible, just a little tickle in the back of my throat. Maybe due to the fact that I've had like 4 hours of sleep in the past 2 days! That's probably it.
But, currently, Im very happy from:
-Green Ginger Tea from Starbucks
-KTA fun
-New Music from Luka
-Dancing with Robert last night to Legally Blonde
-Only 2 more midterms left
-crazy antics with amanda
life is semi-good, but good.

Busy.
Well...I havent written in forever which to me is pretty shameful especially b/c this summer I practically wrote every other day, but sue me, school started and it's going to be a hell of a semester.
With upcoming KTA screenings, fierce follies, mt performance songs, an internship at the carnegie, babysitting with babysitease.com, voice lessons, being in a 10 minute play, a silly stagecraft lab for 3 hours on wednesdays and everything else...I am officially exhausted. But it's a good exhausted :) I like staying busy.
I just have to remind myself to stop, and breathe.

Weird Day, Good Night.
Today was...strange, in a word. Most of KY/OH lost power because of the crazy ass hurricane winds so we didnt have school on Monday. They should have just cancelled today too because 2 out of my 3 classes ended up being cancelled. So that was nice. I felt like I walked around in a daze for some reason. I think staying up ti 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning is finally starting to take its toll on me...imagine that lol
Studying for Stagecraft Test
Looking over song for MTPerformance1
Watching Enchanted with the roomie.

Special.
So, this week has been...special. I loved coming back and seeing my friends that i love so much and being back at school. Other things arent that great. I'm just going to leave that to your imagination.
But yea. I love all of my classes (with the exception of American Politics, I really think that class is going to be a waste of time due to the professor), but everything else seems to be good. I used a really big saw in Stagecraft lab the other day--I was so scared lol
Im in my new dorm, which isnt that bad, the only thing that sucks is that it's not across the street from campus. But it's fine and the room is cute due to some decorations and stuff.
I'm just going to have to keep thinking everything happens for a reason, that's hard to think right now, but I'm just going to have to think that.

Last Week in the Ville!
Plans changed.
Florida got cancelled due to some insane hurricanes headed on the coast...boo. :(
I move into my new dorm Friday morning, then jewelery shoot in Covington that afternoon!
SO EXCITED.
I still need to memorize my monologue completely. I almost have it done but I just need it in my body fully.
Movie day with Bethie on Wednesday.
Voice Lesson/Audition Brushup on Thursday.
NOTHING tommorow. Absolutely nothing. Which means I need to get everything packed and clean my room....I dont think my room has been really clean since July 2001, when we moved into this house. lol Greeaaat. I just may stick everything in my closet and call it a day. :)
Very fun times. Nervous about auditions but ultimately I know it's all already been planned out and I dont need to worry, something good will happen no matter what.
But um....schedule this year? AMAZING. Stagecraft (with Ruthie), American Politics (election semester...yeaaaa!), Musical Theatre Performance 1 (hallelujah), Jazz Dance 2 (sooo looking forward to it), Vocal Tech/Lessons with Lisa (hallelujah again), and Women's Lit.

Realization.
I had a good talk with one of my best friends this morning. She's known me since I was about 5 years old and if anyone knows about the inner workings of my brain and heart, it's most definitly her. She can tell when I'm sailing through life or just inching through it, praying to get by. It was really refreshing to hear about her summer. Sometimes I feel so caught up in the performance aspect of my life, getting ready for auditions, voice lessons, dance class, that sometimes I dont stop and think about how big the world really is. Dont get me wrong, I love love love where my life is right now. But My friend goes to Africa and to Poland and the kids she talks to there arent focused on what part they're gonna get next semester or the dress they're wearing to next weeks party--those kids are thinking about where they're next meal is coming from, and where they're going to sleep tonight. And so, in listening to her talk about her summer, realization hits me; my goal in life is to be able to stand on a stage and entertain people, to make them forget their hardships, the things they struggle with, and make them smile and care and feel for a particular story--and in a way, my friend's purpose is that same. She however doesnt need approval by an audition or a cast list, she gets it from someplace higher.
I think that's something to learn from :)

How to Return Home. pt2
So after a wonderful past few months with hardly any problems...a storm cloud has come through.
I know, I know, melodramatic. But, why is it my mom can make me feel like the biggest piece of crap within 10 minutes? My mom and I were starting to really get along, I was opening up to her (something I rarely do) and it was finally all pretty good. And then...I came home. Something about coming home after not being here a while is always tense. It irritates me that just b/c I'm home it means that if anyone in the house is unhappy for whatever reason, it immediately gets placed on me. I'm mad and upset. But I know why--Im upset b/c I dont like living here and would rather live at school and occasionally see my family (seeing as I get along with them better when I'm about 2 hours away and can screen my calls), and I'm mad because I feel like there's no out from here. It's as if it's easy to leave this house (whether that be to do a show elsewhere or to nku) but it's not easy returning. Why is that? I thought dad not being here would solve everything (and true, it makes us feel much safer) but still, I find myself dreading coming back to this even as much as I did years ago.
Anyway--I'm going to take advantage of this frustration and clean my room...and dream about going back to school.

Good Day.
hahahahaha.
Why is it my plans change so frequently? lol
I got an email today from one of the directors of JCC Camp here in Louisville to help work dance camp next week! yaaaay! What's even better is that they're going to need me for 2 weeks and going to let me off for a day so I can still have my voice lesson with Lisa and get all my books/parking permit for school! I'm psyched! extra money!
My voice is still tired and I really shouldnt talk at all but unfortunately my family doesnt like silence so....lol I bought some movies today (3 for $20!) "27 Dresses" "Enchanted" and "Once"--I'm watching "August Rush" right now which I adore!
Tommorow me and ruthie are going to have Dirty Dancing movie night, we're watching the 1st and the 2nd, just like at school; pizza and movies.
AND I landed a double piourette today! I was so beyond thrilled...things are definitly looking up.

Long Day.
dear lord, today was lllloooooooooooooooong.
Anyway--so we went to the auditions for AI at about midnight and it ended up that they werent going to let anyone line up til 6 AM, so we slept on the concrete next to the car. Dean and I kept waking up so we could see if people were lining up. Anyway--so looong story short, AI auditions are kind of crap. We auditioned for some producers and they hadnt passed barely ANYONE! How disappointing! and we all did really well! But they said we had good voices and Autumn got to sing for E TV news and we both got interviewed for the Courier, so whatevs. But still, this weekend was lots of fun regardless.
But I feel like I've driven allll weekend and I'm EXHAUSTED.
Legally Blonde finale is on tonight! yaaaay!

Thoughts on Falmouth.
It's over, it's really over :(
Last night during "Leavin'" I got choked up thinking it was the last time I was singing that song (that was the 1st song Terril, Bryant, and I sang at my audition; I had been so nervous and it took me back to that moment) and I got choked up. Anyway--it was a good show with a great crowd. And really sad knowing that in a few minutes I'm going to be leaving Falmouth for good and heading back to Louisville. I'm so glad this summer happened. It was random and unexpected and proved to me once again that God has the best plans. This show got me my confidence back, made me some great friends, and allowed me to do what I love; perform as a job. I met so many kind-hearted people here and I'm never going to forget them. People who have inspired me to be a better person and to follow my dreams (as corny as that sounds).
I'll write about Idol tommorow when the whole process is over :)

Thoughts on Idol, Sleep, and Performing.
Sooo the AI Fox Idol thing turned out weird, they liked my voice but i dont think the song showcased everything my voice has to offer. I didnt feel bad at all about it, a lot of people who were really good werent passed to the next round and a lot of people got some heavy-handed, kinda mean criticism thrown at them. So I was happy with what i got.
Anyway--so I did today's show running on 3..count em...THREE hours of sleep. I was physically okay, vocally exhausted. I literally prayed before I went on stage, "god please please please just let it come out and let it come out STRONG" thankfully it did, but I owe that to the man upstairs b/c at one point my throat was so sore. I know all I need is a good night's sleep/only 3 more shows left :( Which makes me sad.
Yesterday I was reminded by a good friend not to let anything get between me and my love for performing/dream. It was the most unexpected phone call but I am so glad that she shared all she did with me, her thoughts on performing, and not letting things get in the way of your dreams. It was exactly what I needed to hear, and it made the show this afternoon mean so much more to me. I just kept thinking, "I love doing this show, I love singing these songs, I love this character, and ya know what? I'm happy" And my friend told me that she hopes that one day I can call her and tell her, "I made it". I literally almost started crying at one point; I'm so sensitive, sometimes an encouraging word makes me all teary-eyed. sometimes I feel that as a student of musical theatre, I can get sidetracked into thinking "I'm not right for blah blah blah" or "I need to change this and this and this about myself in order to achieve this and this and this". It was just a nice reminder that sometimes all I need to ask myself is am I doing what I love and am I happy with it. According to my friend, if the answer to both of those questions are yes, than it's all good.
It's only 8 pm and I want to go to bed RIGHT NOW. We're having a cast party/picnic after the show tommorow here at the house I'm staying at, so I need to clean my room and my bathroom asap.

Major Blessing.
So what started off as a relaxing day ended up in me driving back to louisville b/c I have to sing in some kind of competition tommorow! EEK! To make a long story short, my mom entered me (just my email) in some kind of Idol contest and now I have to go sing at 5 AM tommorow lol
On my way back to louisville, i got a call from one of my friends from the show who just really encouraged me, it was such a god-thing. i am always so grateful for the adults in my life that encourage me to pursue doing what i love. major blessing.

So Much Better Than Before!

Anyway--I think it's going to be down to the final 2 that I predicted it would be a few episodes ago, I just hope I dont miss the finale b/c of a certain audition i'm going to be going on next monday...yikes.
Laying out today was awesome! I dont know why I hadnt thought about doing that all summer-I got a little color and it just really felt great! Autumn called and we talked for...3 hours! It didnt even feel like 3 hours! haha we're crazy
Sooo tommorow is the last day off before we do the show 4 more times...and then it's over :(

Beautiful Day.
So plans changed today lol Kyle didnt feel good so I had lunch with deanie at subway...fun times. But yea, sooo I'm just resting my voice and hanging out and reading. I got this book called "making it on broadway: actor's tales of climbing to the top" for my birthday and while the title sounds incredibly cheesy, it's SUCH a good book. It's full of stories from performers about life on the road and in NewYork and it's just really interesting. A lot of them had really humble beginnings and it's refreshing to read about some of their lives before they became extremely successful.
I'm kinda bored. It's an absolutely beautiful day outside, I really should lay outside and attempt to tan my incredibly white skin. Soooo maybe I'll do that. lol Only one more week of the show and then it's baaaack to Louisville.
meg :)
p.s. 'legally blonde' reality show tonight...I'm not ashamed of the fact that I am completely hooked on that show. Mainly b/c it's has the incredible seth rudetsky as the girls' vocal coach. There's one girl on the show who is incredibly talented and I really would love it if she won, b/c she's a good singer...AND a good actor. Which is refreshing to see. lol

4 more.
4 more shows to go :(
Saaad. I'm going to be really sad to see this show end, not gonna lie. All year I've been in shows that I havent been upset that are over, but this one has a very special spot in my heart...I've gotten the megan voice back and I finally have some confidence.
I'm so excited I get to hang out with my friend kyle tommorow! I hadnt seen him all summer until the party this past Friday and we're going to get lunch and watch some movies, yay!
Today's show was a blast, we had a completely full house and the audience really seemed to love the show! That was exciting. I am happy to have 2 days off to rest and everything, especially b/c I'm going to be really nervous on Wednesday and Friday! I love it when my friends can come to see my shows but it also puts some pressure on me to have the best show possible!
I have a new love--Seth Rudetsky's Broadway Chatterbox, I've found all of these interviews on YouTube with him and broadway performers, I looooove it.

WHEW!
WHEW! Today was non-stop!
I went to Jake's party last night and didnt get back til 3! Got up at 6:30 AM, went to Lexington to see Leslie's GSA showcase, drove from the showcase straight to Falmouth to do the show! Needless to say, I am BEAT. It was funny to me though, I hadnt had longer than 3 hours of sleep and the show still went well! yay!
I'm sooo excited b/c one of my good friends that used to be an acting teacher/coach for me is coming to the show on Wednesday! and Sharon, my voice teacher in Louisville, is going to come on Friday! I'm sure I'll be nervous before both of those shows--those two havent seen me in a show in about 2-3 years! YIKES.
I'm going to go read some more of the Julie Andrews biography and then gooo to bed!
Night!

Mary Jane's Hair. HA.
hahahaha...ok, i'm STILL laughing about today's show. First of all, my grandma was there so I was a tad nervous b/c she hasnt heard me sing in about 2 years lol
But so we get to the funeral scene (like normal) and I lean over to 'comfort' one of my 'sisters', and EEK! my wig and her hair get CAUGHT on each other. AND we couldnt get them detached! My first line was coming up and I'm sooo close to just throwing my wig off, but I ended up having to pretty much damage my wig but I ripped it and oh dear lord, for the rest of the scene Mary Jane's hair looked like crap! It was sooo funny though. I wanted to die laughing. What's worse is the audience could see me and melanie trying to pull our hair apart lol haha
Apart from that, the candle burning me during one of my songs and my mic coming on and me not being ready to sing backstage and so the audience heard a little bit of me speaking...great show lol
I'm sooo happy though, my sister is at GSA right now for musical theatre and I was really bummed b/c I thought I was going to have to miss her final day performance and my mom called me last night to tell me that i actually have an evening show on saturday so I can go to her performance in the afternoon! yaaay!
But yea, today was pretty hilarious.
And I'm reading Julie Andrew's biography--this woman in the cast who is the sweetest person I have ever met gave it to me (how nice was that? When I'm older, I hope I'm as sweet as her), and I adore it already! I'm reading it with Julie's british voice in my head...oh how I love "The Sound of Music"...more than words can describe!

Almost Over :(
1 more show down...8 more to go!
Excited to go back to Louisville but sad to see it kinda ending :( I cant wait to hang out with some of my friends that I've been wanting to hang out with more this summer (cant wait for me and sara to watch "beaches"--yay!) and I have almost a full month-month and a half to get my audition material together! (which makes me feel good)
it's been a great show to do and working with Kincaid has been great too.
Plus the fact that I've been getting to belt a little and it's been so nice not to crack my way through a show (like I used to a few years ago), I used to get so scared to sing and now I feel so comfortable--yaaay (finally!)
My mom is coming to the show tommorow...again.
She's come to it about 3 times now...stage mom anyone? lol just kidding, it's great that she's come so much. She says it keeps getting better and better throughout the run.
It's gotten so hard not to crack up during parts of the funeral scene--dear god, there are some times that I just want to completely lose it b/c I'll see someone either making a silly face or remember something funny someone's said about that scene...'say it again, say it again, say it again!'---sooo hard not to laugh. it's the cheesiest line EVER lol
Definitly had a "open mouth, insert foot" moment today--god, I felt so ridiculous, something just flew out of my mouth and I thought, 'that was so stupid!' oh well, lol
I've gotten so addicted to the "Search for the New Elle Woods" show--I really want this one girl to win, b/c she's older than the 18,19,20 year olds and she's paid her dues to the theatre world, it would be nice to see someone who truly deserved it to get the part. But I've become a complete nerd about it-plastered to the tv at 10pm on Mondays lol it's kinda sad, but really funny. my mom is addicted to it now, she calls me and goes, "who do you think will get voted off?" HA.

Ok, so i'm boooored lol
I'm excited though--I've started to get my audition package together for the fall semester (and i have about 2 months til) so I'm happy about that. And I found my dress, now all I have left is to find a monologue and work my songs/monologues with sharon when the end of the show closes!

Nostalgic.
so I'm pissed b/c I already wrote this blog, but here goes again. So the show went great yesterday, no line flubs or anything, which was great b/c we had a big audience--yaaay! and yaay for 2 days off! I get to just hang out and read (I bought a Reba biography at Half Price books in Louisville and the Devil Wears Prada) so I'm going to be reading those and working on a few songs.
I had the most perfect wake up this morning. A message on my phone saying I had a new email which turned out to be a new honesty box message, someone had left the most sweetest note in my box and it really made my day :) It was the nicest way to wake up.
Talked to melissa for a long time last night. It was so great to hear how she's doing. I'm so proud of her. She's doing exactly what god wants her to do with her life and is such a great listening ear and is really inspiring for people. I cant wait to see what happens for her after college, cause I'm sure it'll be amazing. Same with my friend sara. We met for coffee over my week off and we hadnt seen each other in 6 months and we picked up where we left off, it's just really nice to have friends from high school that i know I'll be friends with in 10 years b/c we make it a priority to stay in touch with each other. And my friends have been so supportive of my theatre life and are the first ones jumping up and down with me when I get a part in a show. Ok, so I'm feeling nostalgic, but who cares lol

Back to Falmouth...
Ok, so I've calmed down a little since the previous post...
Anyways, the housing situation was all worked out and now I get to room with KP and with a really nice girl (Amanda) who's going to be a freshman, I was soooo relieved, she seems really sweet and I think all of us are going to get along really well.
SO my week vacation was over, before I left yesterday afternoon my mom and I went to Macy's and found the CUTEST dresses, I got 2 :) After that I drove alllll the way back to Falmouth, and sooo I'm back!
We have a show today and not gonna lie, I'm kinda nervous about it, we havent done the show in a week and it was running so smoothly lol and I'm a little nervous because 2 of my mom's friends that I know really well and I used to do shows with their kids are coming with her to the matinee today. YIKES. So I really really want to have a good show.
Well...I should go take a shower and start getting ready, our calltime is a little earlier so I guess we can run specific scenes and songs.

Late Night Thoughts.
So it's about 4 in the morning...and I cant get to sleep.
Why is it I get all inspirational and deep at this time of night/day?
So I've been reading some books lately and journaling and such, and I've come to have some pretty radical conclusions.
I realized tonight when listening to an interview with a very well-known broadway performer that as a life goal, as a person and as a performer, I just want to be authentic. For me, I just want to strive for authenticity in my daily life and in my life onstage as a performer. I hope that that comes out in my life, but if not, that's really what I want to aspire to. When I used to be into guitar/nashville/recording, I remember that's something vince the record producer strived to instill in us artists. To be authentic. And it's true, I feel like I can hear authenticity in people's art, in their voice. That's probably why I'm drawn to more acoustic sounds vs loud intense rock bands.
I've been also thinking about the human concept of loving people the way they are. sara groves writes that "lovin a person just the way they are, it's no small thing, it's the whole thing; love and pride cant occupy the same spaces baby, only one sets you free." I feel like my constant struggle is wanting acceptance from people, such as at my old church or friends that i grew up with in accepting the fact that I'm a little different than I used to be, in my career choice and in life, but I oftentimes forget that that swings both ways. I need to love people the way they are as I want people to do for me. People are such beautiful creative and wonderful messes...everyone has a good piece of creativity in their body, something that allows them to give some kind of talent back to the one that created it; whether that be playing an instrument, singing a song, writing etc, it's all there. And what's so wonderful about that is it's all been given for a purpose.
just some thoughts :)

Saw My Breakfast Again...lol
Well I saw my breakfast again last night at about 6 pm after the matinee lol..(EW)
Yesterday I sat through a camp worship service before the show. And we sang "Blessed Be Your Name". And the words of that song didnt really hit me til late last night. Yes, I party. Yes, I swear like a sailor 90% of the time. But me and God talked last night for about an hour. I cried, I asked questions and while I didnt exactly hear anything back, I felt this calm peace that He is in control. As cheesy as that sounds, He is. And the words of that song came back to me, "You Give and Take Away, you give and take away, my heart will choose to say Lord Blessed Be Your Name".
Just some food for thought. :)

Ohmygod you guys!
I havent written in so long! (not that anyone is probably disappointed but still lol)
I just got done watching "Legally Blonde the Musical: the Search for the Next Elle Woods"--and I'm hooked. I love it and I was completely riveted tonight watching who was going to be voted off. Cheesy, I know.
Anyway--"Big River" opened on saturday---yaaaay. My mom came (and she's coming back haha)and my sister and brother. My dad is coming sometime this week, yikes. But it went well. We had today off and tommorow and then shows on Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday--whew!
That's pretty much it, I went to the mall today, YES to Forever21.

Vocal Rest...boo.
Well, not much has happened since Monday...except I'm putting myself on vocal rest :( boooo. If my voice teacher was here, she'd have done the same thing. I just felt my voice getting tired last night in rehearsal. On wednesday night, i got a call from some people to come hang out, so I did....lol It was fun and I hadnt seen a lot of them in FOREVER. So today I'm just hanging out and watching youtube videos and NOT talking.

Me, the bed, and "Brothers and Sisters"
Soooo...birthday came and went. It was great--I got to do stuff and see people at home that I havent seen in a while, like my voice teacher. The only thing that kinda sucked was having to drive back to Falmouth yesterday (it took foooorever), and then having to have rehearsal for a while. I love rehearsal, but I was so tired yesterday! lol
But anyway--from here on out, we have rehearsal every night, I cant believe we open in 2 weeks, that's so soon! But other than that, that's pretty much all that's going on...the bed, me, and my new 1st season of "Brothers and Sisters" are best friends!
haha

Feelin' Nostalgic.
Ok, so I'm not gonna lie, it's really frustrating that I wrote a blog entry last night and...it's not showing up. :(
But anyway-so this weekend was really relaxing, the people I'm staying with went camping so I pretty much hung out around their house and sat on their porch and read by the lake. Unfortunately, the pollen in the air is AWFUL so I'm feeling a little under the weather...booo!
But rehearsals are going well--if I can just forget my little girl voice (damn all those "my friend the dictionary" lessons lol), and always have the "woman" sound lol That probably didnt make sense at all haha.
I cant believe I turn 20 in under a week...that's crazy! I was just thinking that it was only 4 years ago I was about to play Maria in "Sound of Music" with CCT and about to turn 16 years old. I took a little stroll down memory lane today and found some pictures and cards and emails I had stashed in a little memory box that I took with me here--GOD I AM SO HAPPY I'M NOT 16 ANYMORE! WOW. Reading some of the stuff I wrote and said made me feel so great about the person I've become. I'm still not as confident as I could be, but seeing just how insecure 16 year old megan was really helped me. I've had people tell me I've changed over the past year, (I think in a good way but that's my own opinion), and seeing those emails and journal entries really made me happy with my life as of now. It was really funny to look at my resume from then to now and think that 16 year old megan would have fallen over knowing all the great shows I've been a part of since then and all of the amazing people I've met just in a few short years.
So, yep, I'm feeling nostalgic. :) but it's a good nostalgic :)

3 days later!
Ok, since Thursday, LOTS has happened. For starters, I wont be in "Oklahoma" this summer b/c I'm going to be Mary Jane in "Big River" at Kincaid Regional Theatre in Falmouth, KY! I'm so excited!
To make a long story short, this theatre about an hour away from NKU needed a Mary Jane (the pianist from "Hair" is their musical director), and so I called the director and arranged an audition, had it Sunday and I get to do it! They're going to house me until the end of the show's run, and I could not be more thrilled to be in it! It's so funny how my entire summer changed from only 3 days ago!
More later!

Good News All Around.
Well tommorow I head back to NKU, for a few days. We have 2 shows left of "Hair"! And then Carnegie auditions on Sunday--I still cant decide if I'm going. My throat has been feeling very strange and I'm afraid of pushing my voice b/c it's still healing. Idk, we'll see.
Anyway--so this is going to be extra boring as...nothing has really happened this entire week! lol Tommorow I babysit and then drive back to Hair, and that's about it. THANK GOD dean is letting me stay in his dorm room while he's doing summer orientations for students. He was so sweet to offer.
In case any of them read this: A BIG congrats out to Dean and Andrew for their new BFAs!! yaaaay! So happy and proud of both of them!
And 3 of my friends in high school were all cast as amazing parts in "Into the Woods"--so happy for them as well! Good news all around!
Well, it's about time to go to sleep...the going away party for Trent is tommorow, so it'll be a late night tommorow lol

How to Return Home.
I really had been looking forward to coming home...til I actually got into the doorway.
To be perfectly honest, I wish I could drive back to nku, tonight. It's only been 3 days and I just cant even put into words how it feels to be back. So...today's entry isnt filled with 'yays' or smilyfaces, which i feel is fine considering usually i only write about things to yay about. I did find a song by my favorite composers Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk called "how to return home" from their musical "the bad years", here's the lyrics:
Your bare feet sliding on the old wooden floorboards,
Home at last and silent but still you’re shaken,
like walking into a museum, somehow out of time.
It’s all the same except the girl in the hallway,
Where she’s been and who she will ripen into,
Your childhood’s on the other side of a gulf to damn wide to climb.
Take silent breath.
Hold in the change.
Tell yourself you still live here.
It’s the only way
you’ll get through this holiday.
Count the hours.
Hit the showers.
Wash yourself away.
The house is pulsing in an alien language,
Why or where it came from, you couldn’t fathom.
But somewhere deep within you answers the girl you were then… again.
Take a silent breath.
Hold in the change.
Tell yourself you still live here.
Take your bags upstairs.
It’s the only way you’ll get through this holiday.
Never mention all the tension.
It’s the price you pay.
How to return home,
and how to survive,
a practical guidebook.
How to go back,
How to walk in and unpack.
How to grow up.
Simply show up.
How to take a breath.
How you take a breath.
Hold in the change.
Tell yourself you still live here.
How you go upstairs.
Show that you’re okay
this thanks-giving holiday.
Do your best here.
You’re a guest here.
Close your eyes and pray.
How to return home.
How to return home.
How to return home.
Your bare feet sliding on the old wooden floorboards,
home at last and quiet but still you’re shaken.
there's a video of laura osnes singing this, it's amazing: ok, my internet is being stupid, but if you're really curious, go on youtube.com and search laura osnes and how to return home.

Blue Lights.
So this week began with...blue police lights lol
I was driving back to Louisville after the show on Saturday night with my car filled with all the stuff from my dorm room, and it was about 12 or 1 AM. I was about 30 minutes away from Louisville and I saw about 10 deer standing by the highway so I slowed down so I wouldnt hit any of them. Any of you that know me know that I've had lots of car troubles and I dont need to hit a deer. So, I slowed down to about 30 mph and carefully moved throughout that little patch on the interstate...all of a sudden I saw blue police lights! A cop pulled me over for going too SLOW. I'm probably the only 19/20 year old that's happened too lol He let me go with a warning partially b/c I almost started crying and was in complete shock he even pulled me over to begin with! I told him there was deer all over the side of the road and at that moment, one walked across the road! HA!
So then I made it home, and have had a very lazy day today, watching "brothers and sisters" all day (catching up on the 1st season)...and then I found out I have to retake the ACT in June b/c I'm one point lower than what NKU is allowing me to take a REAL math class. I'm not happy about it. Not at all.
But it is summer and I start my job soon and "oklahoma"--thank god.

End of the Year...
One more show and I can go back to Louisville! 2 shows left after tonight.
Dean was great enough to let me stay in his room last night, b/c we had to be out of the dorms by like 6 yesterday. So he had orientation or something today so ruth and i hung out in his room and watched 'laguna beach' all day--which i've never watched before--but i really like now!
My car is packed up to the ceiling with all of my stuff this year--I'm really going to miss everyone here this summer. I cant wait to go back and everything and do 'oklahoma' but still, i'm going to miss my friends here. Lots of stuff has gone on this year and I'm really happy to say that my friends here have made this entire year great. :)
So today:
yay for Laguna Beach
yay for summer
yay for a successful and good first year at NKU

Summer!
Finals are officially OVER! YES!
I had my Acting2 final today and my math final. Pretty much back to back!
Anyway--so I get to go home on Sunday (laaaaate night on Saturday b/c of "Hair")
Only 4 more shows left--and then "Oklahoma"! It's going to be nice to go back to back finally versus closing a show and having a month or two to be in that "I want to do a show" mood I get into.
I was told today I need to be a better dancer/mover. So I'm going to work my butt off this summer on that, my goal is to have a solid double by the end of the summer. Hopefully, that'll happen.
SUMMER 08:
Work MT Spotlight Camps/Dance Camps
Voice lessons with Sharon/Dance lessons with Donna
Work on guitar/piano/write some more
Work on Audition Material
"Oklahoma"
yay for summer!

Some Thoughts.
Usually, finals week is tense and very highly stressful.
It has surprised me. I've never been so calm and carefree as I have been this week. I've been writing a little bit, I've asked my mom to get my guitar restrung for this summer, have some ideas for maybe a couple of songs :) My voice final is behind me--and given that I had bronchitis about a week ago, I felt good about it (finally!) Those that know me really well know that I tense up in my voice masterclasses here for some odd reason lol
Only 2 more to go--Acting2, and Math095. 1 scene and a test and then SUMMER. Well, not completely, I have a friday and a saturday show of "Hair" and then I get to go home! 2 more shows after that, next Friday/Saturday. 10 days after that, "Oklahoma" starts--could that be any more different? "Hair" vs. "Oklahoma" lol
I'm so looking forward to starting rehearsals for "Oklahoma"--I love the people at CenterStage and I cannot wait to start another show with them! And I cant wait to work musical theatre summer camp there too. yay for summer.
Anyway--I'm not sure if I'll write anymore til after I'm home so to whoever reads this--cheers to a successful fun first year at NKU...third college is a charm!

Just hanging out in the green room for right now--melissa is asleep on the couch, we are soooo tired!
UPDATE:
I'm kinda almost full voice--thank god. I had bronchitis this past week and megan + getting sick = not a good combination. I haven't been sick since I was like 9 years old, so I never know what to do when that happens. lol
It's the last day of classes and my jazz final is in half an hour--we have to do our "The Wiz" combination and our hip-hop combination. I'm actually going to miss that class--it's gotten me really flexible and the teacher is great. But Im taking jazz 2 next semester so it's all good.
Today: Jazz Final, Voice Lesson, amphitheatre shenanigans, Music Theory 2 test...NAP....SHOW. dear lord, i sound like sara kenny's facebook status lol
oh yea, and that letter? 5 days.

New Stuff.
There's only one word to describe me right now---tired. "Hair" is going pretty well--we have 8 rehearsals left til we open...YIKES. I think it's going to be pretty good though.
Changed my song for my voice final--tribute to Barbra, "Isn't This Better?" from the musical "Funny Lady"...if you know the show, you know why i chose this lol
Wrote 3, count em, 3 papers this past weekend. 1 more to go: Dinosaurs. Why did I save that for last again?
I have to find time to memorize my final scene in Acting2. Have to. And study for Dinosaurs.
Oh well, it's pretty and warm outside, and kp is going to be here for like an hour today--yaaaaay!
check out Kim Walker's "He Loves Us"--my friend melissa jonesy recently told me about it and it's wonderful...highly recommend it.

Some Thoughts.
this weekend was a blast. party at allen's on friday...chilling out on saturday, sunday = church with dean, rehearsal.
Rehearsals have been going pretty well--we open in about 3 weeks and I think it'll be pretty good, I cant believe it'll be May in 3 weeks.
I need to memorize a scene from "The Shape of Things" for Acting2...I really love the scene but cannot seem to motivate myself to memorize it. SO excited for Fall classes though!
-Musical Theatre Performance 1
-Vocal Tech with Lisa
-Jazz 2
-American Politics (it'll be election semester-YES.)
-Stagecraft & Lab
-Women's Lit 1
I definitly stressed myself out with getting my classes today. My mom hadn't paid off everything and I was scared to death that I wouldn't get in the Vocal Tech that I wanted...thank god I did.
In other news, last weekend I wrote a letter. Completely different from the one in October, but since God pretty much told me to write it, I did. I really was reluctant to at first but I kept thinking about it and realized that I was going to listen. So I wrote it. I'm thinking about sending it. We'll see. God brought me through it, so I'm definitly going to listen to what He's telling me to do now. Even the lowest people on this earth need to be shown a tad bit of mercy. Nuf' said.
I sing in Vocal MasterClass tommorow..."Infinite Joy" from "Elegies" by William Finn. Hopefully it goes well. Hopefully. :)
The weather is now cold and gross, COMPLETELY different from last week. Where's the beautiful spring weather?

Just Some Thoughts.
So...I smell like sunscreen. That's when you know that Spring/Summer is here, when I have the need to protect myself from the sun!
Brother Rick is back on campus making all christians look bad by telling everyone they're going to hell. great (*sarcasm*)
But it's warm and beautiful and rehearsals are great and I feel wonderful :)

Good Day.
I sit here on my bed...writing on my laptop! After 2 whole weeks of being without it, I write this and cant help but smile--FINALLY.
Today was beautiful...in more ways than just the great weather. Personal victories, my friend, personal victories. Weather was beautiful, no rehearsal, flip flops, borders, new book, good scene in Acting2, "brothers and sisters", teasing my little brother while he, my mom, and i had dinner.
...I have a new love--"The Shape of Things" by Neil Labute and "August: Osage County" by Tracy Letts (the latter I just began reading by I love it already).
Good day. :)

My To Do List.
Things to Do:
1. Work mix on "Infinite Joy" & "Say the Word"...work on belting "Not Afraid of Anything"...loudly, in dorm room, for roommates to hear lol
2. Get laptop back. 2 weeks without it is ridiculous.
3. Learn lyrics for songs in 'hair'
4. Go to a bookstore...walk around aimlessly with coffee in hand.
5. Print out new Kerrigan-Lowdermilk sheet music.
6. Get to a piano, work on Music Theory 2.
7. Attempt to pass Dinosaurs class.

Some Thoughts.
Not to sound overtly religious or bible-beater, but instead of a blog today, I'm going to write out the prayer that is in my head right now:
God,
I dont understand why you let things happen, why people are allowed to go through things, or things You do. I dont get it, I dont understand it. The only thing I can cling to is that You see the bigger picture and You know our lives, before and after they began, and that Your ways are good. I may not be able to see it now, but I'll see it someday.
Amen.

YAY for...
another quick blog before "Hair" rehearsal...
So....my laptop has to be repaired, which means I've been without it for about a week and a half and it's been weird having to go to the library all the time to check my email.
one of my roommates is insane. I could go into details, but I think it's better left just by saying she's insane.
Instead of writing a crazy paragraph, I'm going to yay everything:
yay for tax returns.
yay for getting to be in a show this summer.
yay for hot tea.
yay for learning how to belt.
yay for rehearsing.
and yay for warm weather.
the end.

Spring Break.
Spring Break has been great. For 2 days, all I did was lie on my mom's couch and watched movies that I've been wanting to watch for a while and read. It was great getting to catch up with beth and some of my other friends. I saw the easter pageant at my church the other day and got to catch up with people from work and such. I was glad I didnt go on a trip or anything this SB, it was just nice for once to be in Louisville. The new music for the pageant was beautiful and I now have the soundtrack, it's going to be played on my ipod for a while!
I still have an Acting2 paper on personal movement lingering over me, but I have til Tuesday morning to get it done.
I have a new obsession--the tv show "Brothers and Sisters". Amazing. LOVE IT.
And another obsession--Whole Foods Store. Organic Food = Yes Please.
And guess what?
NO SNOW!

A post on life...spring break, babysitting, awkwardness, Hair, and the library.
So it's been about a month since I last wrote on this...I feel like I've let down..well, no one really, but still, it's not good.
Life is pretty good--I'm in "Hair" right now with Falcon Theatre, so we're rehearsing, the show goes up in May, in Newport..yay. So it's pretty much music, music, and more music, but it's all good :)
Spring Break is next week..thank god. I am very burnt out on school right now and had 1 test and a midterm today. I havent been sleeping that well--my roommate told me I've been tossing and turning, I really dont know why. I keep having the most bizarre dreams and then waking up and being able to remember them (which is really weird for me). I cant believe summer is going to be here in a few months--so exciting. I need to find out soon about different shows so that I can figure out where I'll be working and such this summer. I would really like to either A) return to my job as a camp counselor with the kids at JCC or B) get a job at Borders or Barnes and Noble. That all depends on people and things, so I need to figure it out soon on what I'm going to do.
Spring Break should be fun--I'm going to catch up with some friends and see the Easter Pageant with my grandma..fun times. I'm babysitting for like 9 hours on Saturday so i can get money to actually do things over spring break lol
In other news...classes are going really well...except dinosaurs...why did I pick that class again? i'm just glad there are other theatre majors in there b/c if there wasnt, I would have gone crazy by now!
I just want to throw this out there--I hate awkwardness. I do. I know that sometimes life gives you awkward moments and that just happens. But I just really hate awkwardness that leaves you feeling like crap and nervous and irritated. It's just not something I particulary care for and want to be around. When is May again?
i'm in the library right now with ruth--she has some insane midterm paper due and I came over and I really dont want to face the cold weather so I'm staying here.
I'm a complete nerd b/c I really love the library. I've gotten in the habit recently of checking out like 10 books at a time, reading them and then getting more. I know, that's what the library is for lol I'm reading "Eat Pray Love" right now and "The Effect of Gamma Rays". I really love both of them so far. And I have to read the "Viewpoints" book by Anne Bogart for Acting2. yes.

The biggest nerd EVER.
I am seriously the biggest nerd on this planet.
Wanna know what put me in the BEST mood today?
The Library.
Seriously.
I found the "visual bookshelf" application on Facebook and went through about 1000 books, marking them as "read" or "want to read" and then went to the library where I checked out not 1, not 2, but FIVE books. And proceeded to read 2 of them tonight...and start on the 3rd.
For anyone who cares, I checked out Me Talk Pretty One Day, Of Mice and Men, Keeley and Du, In Love and War: Ernest Hemmingway, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress.
I went ahead and read Keeley and Du and Five Women and was pleased with both of them. And then I ordered sheet music for a very obscure song from a very obscure show...life is good. :)

Flown By...
Today has flown by. Had my first Math Test in...3 years! Wow...that's a while.
Anyway--yesterday I went to an audition and it wasn't my best performance. Thankfully, I got to share in the embarressment with 2 of my friends who also didn't do their best and so we've gotten the chance to laugh about the whole ridiculous thing...oh well, onto the next one. lol
I'm feeling gross and lazy and will probably take a nap soon...naps in the middle of the day YAY.
And then I gotta study for Dinosaurs...that class is crap. I pretty much sit there and think about things on my mind or something I need to do later that day...oh well, it's my last science class EVER.

Sundays.
So today was...special. Anyway--it began with an amazing service at Crossroads and went into a 7-hour "what's wrong with my car?" trip around Cincinnati/Newport/Covington. To make a long story short, I have a new battery for my car, and now it works right. yay.
SO today (due to my car issues) I had to spend 2 hours walking around Walmart, and found the book "Eat Pray Love"...even though it looked ridiculous to pretty much read a large part of the book in the middle of the aisle at Walmart, it was really interesting and I found myself definitly loving a lot of the insights the author was giving. To make a long story short, she left her comfortable life and traveled around India and Africa and such. I want to go back and read it. Very honest. Very truthful. Exactly the kind of book I love to read :)
Speaking of reading, I finally finished my (3rd) time reading Searching for God Knows What by Donald Miller. I love that book. It's amazing how many times i can read it and yet still get more and more from it...it's the perfect book to crawl up with some good camomile/lemon hot tea and a blanket.
Tommorow=audition and 3 classes.
I'm not nervous. I know it's not in my hands (whatever happens). I realized this weekend that I'm not in control.
Which is a good and comforting realization :)

During Math Class...
So today has been...fun. Read a lot, listened to my ipod, drank green tea, same ol' same ol'.
Today in math, like a good student, I decided to start writing down ideas for my vocal repertoire book haha In the middle of listing, "Ballads from 1950's/DreamRoles", I realized the teacher was intensely staring at me. HA.
But yea. I took a nap for 30 minutes and it was great...I haven't taken a nap since...well, forever.
But Math Sucks.

2nd week...
Wellll...almost the end of week 2 back at school. So far, it's been...interesting. Last week was not a barrel of monkeys. Except for the fact that dean and I have been hanging out a lot, it was already the 2nd day of school and I can't imagine not seeing him at least once a day. It's nice to have a true friend, one that wont talk behind your back, a shoulder to cry on, someone to laugh with, a hand to hold during auditions etc.
Anyway--so I've been reading a lot lately (who's shocked by that? lol). I read Divine Nobodies this week, by Jim Palmer. I read it last year when I was still at Bible College and dreaming about the day I would finally move to NKU, it was definitly a great thing to be able to read it when I'm at this stage in my life, so very different from this time last year. Even within the past semester, I feel like a different person (in a good way). I feel like sometimes God gives you moments you dont think you can handle so you'll lean on Him more. Well I'm leaning....lol
I cant wait til Kaitlyn moves up here though--it'll be nice to have her here....we're gonna take some classes together! YAY. We're very excited about having to decorate our room...I'm going to Crossroads church with some friends on Sunday, I'm excited, I haven't been to church in...well, a while. But apparently Crossroads is great.
I worked out tonight with Dean and Caitlin. He's working out for Cats, I'm working out because I want to. Found myself listening to lots of music while I was on the treadmill. Big fan on Jennifer Knapp and Sara Barielles lately. Their lyrics are so true and honest.
I am really excited though b/c I'm starting to read The Coast of Utopia by Tom Stoppard. It's supposed to be a great play. I keep reading one or two pages of Buried Child by Sam Shepherd and then I forget I'm reading it. I need to get back to it.

Reflections.
Did you ever have one of those weeks that you just wanted to curl up in a blanket, sob your eyes out and listen to joni mitchell and not talk to anyone?
I have. And believe me, it's not been fun. This week was all kinds of emotions--auditions, other stuff, my great-grandma, cast lists being posted, finding out who real friends are....
I could just recap the week, but I'm not gonna lie, I really dont want to. I will, however, talk about my great-grandma. My great-grandma was thought to have been on her deathbed this past week. Her body was failing her. My grandma (nana) and her sisters were all at the hospital. I went to see them all before I went to an audition in Bardstown. I walked into the room and saw my great-grandma...she looked like she weighed almost nothing, with my white hair plastered to her face. My nana told me that she had been having (my ggrandma) her own tent revival telling them throughout the night how much Jesus loved them, and urging him to "hurry". It was as if she was in her sub-conscious. My ggrandma even started telling her life story--about how God has protected her from all kinds of things throughout her life. They said it was the most moving thing to hear.
My great-grandma woke up, and my nana said, "Megan came to see you mom!" My ggrandma looked at me and said, "oh megan! megan's here!" She kept saying, "Such a gift, such a gift from God!" She then went on about how Jesus loved me, how I need to lean on Him and "dont ever forget that." I had tears brimming in my eyes, as I calmly told her, "I know grandma, I know." My nana told her I was on my way to an audition, and my ggrandma responded, "So gifted, that voice, such a gift from God...sing for Jesus megan...sing for jesus." I couldn't believe that someone in their sub-conscious, on their deathbed, had that kind of faith. It was amazing to watch, and I will never forget that.
Not to sound preachy or anything, but God knew exactly what I needed. It's been a not-so-great morning and while I was in the middle of writing this blog, I got a phone call from one of my great friends in Louisville. I hadn't talked to her in so long and it was so nice to have a listening ear to hear about things that have been bothering me. We talked for almost an hour and a half and she reminded me of something. God is in complete control. That may seem like something I should always know, but I lost sight of that this week. I was glad she reminded me of that.

Regionalism...
Yesterday was a lot of fun. Got to hang out with some friends I hadn't seen since December, so that was nice.
Anyway--I am very extremely happy right now because....I have almost completely gotten rid of my regionalism! (at least, I know how to turn it off when I'm performing--I'm still going to talk like normal when I'm just talking with people, but on stage? I know how to make it stop!) I worked with one of my director-friends from UofL this past December and my voice teacher/acting coach and they explained it to me in terms of singing...so I was doing my monologues yesterday for some friends and they confirmed it...I dont sound like a country hick anymore! lol
I was very thrilled--considering that's something that was brought to my attention last semester and frustrated me to no end. So today, I babysit and tommorow see "Phantom of the Opera" on tour in Louisville with my family. Anyway, I think I'm actually pretty excited about auditions on Monday. Which is a first. I guess hearing about how freaked out a lot of other people are about their shakesphere monologue makes me feel better about being freaked out about mine. Make sense? eh-probably not.
But anyway, so not much exciting happening here, a lot of people aren't back yet, apparently a lot of people are going to move back later today or tommorow, so we'll see!

back at home.
Well, I'm back at school! yay! It was not much fun dragging all of my stuff back to my apartment in the downpour, especially b/c I was wearing clogs and water began to creep in and soak my socks. ew.
Anyway--so last night Trent and I went and got some hot tea at Starbucks and walked around the Levee, we went to check out the Barnes and Noble. Hot Tea+Books=good times. Anyway--we didn't get anything, but it was a great way to begin spring semester. So after 2 computer crashes and losing everything on my laptop twice over break, it now has a new hardware and it runs beautifully! I am so happy--winter break was stressful due to that and the auditions coming up. I think I'm pretty prepared. I need to work my monologues a few more times. But I think they will be good. I was thinking last night how weird it was (but great) that this is the only school I've stayed for a second semester at. And as me and Trent were driving through the streets of Newport, and at NKU, how many memories I already have just of different places. Everytime I drove past parking spots, the cafeteria, the Levee, the starbucks, I was reminded of different times last semester. Most of which made me smile, it was just really nice to me considering I really never had that with my other schools.
Anyway...but today I have to get my parking permit. And that's it. That's all I have to do today. So I'm going to be working my monologues and possibly going in my pjs to the permit office. Cause I am exhausted. Tommorow I babysit 5 kids for 5 hours through the babysitting agency I work for.

Another blog.
Well, I have decided to go back to school either Tuesday night or Wednesday afternoon. Yes, classes dont actually start til next Monday, but I want some time alone before the chaos begins. Plus, I need time to work on audition material without distractions...so yea.
So not much has happened since I last blogged...a few realizations about stuff since having a good long talk with a great friend of mine last night. Made me see some things in a new light. which is always a good thing. It's funny...sometimes no matter how much you have thought about something, it takes someone who is completely detached (except for being my friend) and older to give you good insight that you may not have gotten from others. Just a realization. I know, right? lol
I'm so happy to go back to school with plenty of reading material and my ipod (which has yet to receive its name--any suggestions?). There were so many times this past semester where I would just be hanging around the theatre building and want some good music to listen to or have a good book--now I will!
Exciting.
Well, back to monologues.

Fun Times.
Today was fun times. I had coffee with sara this morning, whom I haven't seen in almost a year, and we had a wonderful time catching up and talking about each other's lives...it's great to have friends that I may not see all the time and yet even though we dont, everytime we get together, we pick right back up from where we left off.
So after that, I went to my voice lesson and got to mix belt my audition song (which I was nervous my voice teacher would want me to sing the whole thing legit style, but she was good with the mix belt--yay). We worked on monologues for a while, always fun to speak with a british dialect for a while.
After that, I went to one of my friend's megan's to see her new house--which is absolutely adorable. We hung out, got some chic-fil-a and then watched "marie antoinette" (which I absolutely adored--how did I miss seeing that movie in theatres?) Anyway--it was great to hang out with another good friend.
So it was a great day with good friends...I'm very thankful for that.

winter break thoughts...
god, i haven't written in this thing in so long!
Anyway--so winter break was pretty okay. Kinda boring, I babysat a lot, housesat for about a week, and stuff like that. Tommorow and on Monday I'm gonna work at the JCC for the winter camps. It's been so weird being back for a month, I miss my friends at NKU a lot. Oh well, I'll be back within a week :)
This is definitly a rhetorical question, but have you ever gotten the feeling you've changed so much (for the better in your own opinion--which is really the only one that counts), that you've grown apart from really good friends? I have definitly gotten that feeling over this past month. And I understand it--last year at this time, I had just left Bible College. That's so weird to think about--that was only a year ago. I feel so different from then. Good-different though. I like myself so much more now. I feel so very free. And happy with life. Unafraid to take risks, when in high school that was the very thing that hurt me, in high school and for the first semester in college at Boyce, I lived in a very comfortable bubble. But that made me restless and wishing for something more, and so I left my very comfortable bubble and took a chance. Thank god that that chance turned out to be something wonderful. Sometimes I really think about that. What if I had stayed at Boyce, even though that was so obviously not where I was supposed to be? That thought, wondering what my life would be, makes me happy I chose to do what I did; to go study theatre away from Louisville. Anyway--back to the change thing. Over this past month, I've realized just how much I've changed. Sometimes friends grow apart--I've begun to accept that people you're friends with for years sometimes grow apart. But yea. For the longest time, I used to be so caught up in what people thought of me--how I lived my life, things I said, who I was...and I realize now that that doesn't matter. Those people dont live my life. They aren't me. So...just a thought...back to my Gilmore Girls Season 7 with Wild Sweet Orange Hot Tea...it's really cold outside, and I want nothing more than to get out my big afghan blanket and listen to Sara Bareilles' cd and read some of the plays I've gotten for christmas upstairs in my room. Some might say that doing that on a Thursday night over Christmas break is boring, but ya know what? It's perfectly fine with me :)
Wild and crazy huh? lol
