an update to the neglected blog.

Well..I feel like I've neglected the blog. With classes, quizzes, monologues, rehearsal and stuff...I just forgot about it :(
Last week was...interesting. Some roommate drama, an almost forgotten rehearsal...but now it's all good!

So Kaitlyn has started "Parade" and I'm in the middle of "Angels in America"--theatre theatre for everyone! "Angels" is going well--I really love it, we ran Act1 last night. We open in about a month-yay!

SO...an update, I have a monologue in "SpoonRiver Anthology" that I have to perform in Acting class on Thursday. I pull a Jerry Springer and throw a chair...it's lots of fun lol I play a crazy pregnant woman who kills herself with morphine and then goes to heaven.
I started voice lessons last week with my new voice teacher here--I was sooo nervous before it! But I'm really happy with the songs I'm going to be singing in there and I really like my voice teacher--he had me do Plies to get to my high notes! It was fun---now in ballet class I want to sing! I have to perform "Once Upon a Dream" from "Jekyll and Hyde" next week for him.

My friend Derek (Andrew) and I (Celia) decided to do a video blog for Andrew Keenan-Bolger's video response contest this past weekend, it was so much fun! We went to downtown Cincy in Clifton and went to Urban Outfitters, then to Starbucks, back to campus and....well, I'm just going to upload it here when it's done. Unfortunately we cant enter the contest b/c derek's computer wouldnt let him load it :(

I'm going to sound like a complete Broadway-nerd, but I just want to remind anyone who reads this that "Legally Blonde the Musical" is going to be aired this Saturday at 1pm on MTV...me and people here are excited to see it!

Well...back to reading For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Not Enuf, for Race/Gender drama lit class! Hope everyone (if anyone reads this lol), is doing well and I hope kaitlyn posts in this soon!)

Oh, and Zach Boone got a blogspot too--here's the link: http://www.zacharyjboone.blogspot.com/

eeyore nightshirt. nuf' said.

Embarresing story of the day:
So....as many of you know, I really love the character Eeyore. And my family used to go to Disney World....so I got some Eeyore stuff....I admit that I love the guy.

So, I have probably 3 nightshirts that I just cannot seem to give up b/c they have....you guessed it, Eeyore on them.

And I've never really been embarresed about the fact that they 1) are pretty short (about 4-5 inches above my knee and 2) in certain areas dont leave much to the imagination....ok, I'll just say it...you can tell I'm a girl in them!

So, tonight, I had on of these shirts (like I normally do), and was typing to one of my friends on AIM. I got up to get an apple out of the fridge in the kitchen in the apartment I share with 3 other girls...and lo and behold, one of the girls' boyfriends was sitting in the living area where the kitchen is located! And what's worse, I didn't notice him! So I'm just walking around in a nightshirt that (*see points 1 and 2) and when I turned around, and his hands went immediately to his face...I had nothing to say. Just a quick, "Oh I'm so sorry" and fled to my room where I immediately closed the door...(and may never come out again).....

This ALMOST tops the time when I walked in on one of my best friends' boyfriends in the bathroom on the 1st musical rehearsal of Sound of Music...ALMOST. (*cough, it was kaitlyn's boyfriend, cough*)

Anyway--(kaitlyn suggested) that I post one or 2 pics to give you a visual...I took these at an angle where points 1 and 2 arents so obvious.

This is the famous eeyore nightshirt.
I know, it's attractive.
don't be jealous.

Friday night...pics and stuff....

Well, I'm going back to NKU today--we need more pics from Friday....so here they are!!!

Saw "Oliver" at MTL last night--it was seriously the best thing I have seen there. My favorite performer was this kid in the ensemble named Tyler...awesome dancing/vocals....(I was such a proud big sister lol)
THe hills are aliiivveee....with the sound of MUSIC! lol

(Notice how kaitlyn is making the exact same face in both of these pics) lol

ok, so the one above this is from NKU..

Anyway--not sure when I'll be coming back next--I'm definitly coming back to see "Parade" at CenterStage, I love that show! Kaitlyn is playing Iola Stover and Justin is playin the piano--so everyone come see it! (Kaitlyn, I dont know when this runs so post the dates soon!)

On Friday, we made like 3 videos about many different things....but unfortunately none of them will actually post! BOOO!!!

I sent Zach Boone the link to our blog so we should say something about him on here--Zach is Owl in one of the pics below...and he's currently rehearsing for "West Side Story" at Wright State University...he's playing Riff, he's going to be amazing! KP and I went to see him in "Peter Pan" at Derby Dinner this summer--he thanked Jesus during curtain call just for us. lol

crazy friday!

So, I came back this weekend...again. To see my little brother in "Oliver" at mtl.
So...I'm beating kp to this first (but she'll probably write about it anyway)--tonight we hung out with the crew at Fridays and then went to the Waterfront to take pics and such....we even did a special version of "Sound of Music" (complete with twirling on the grass)...pics to come lol
AND we made our first preview video blog entry on kaitlyn's phone...she'll probably post that--DRUNK SCARY MEN!! WE CANT SMOKE--YOU CANT SMOKE WITH VOCAL CHORDS OF STEEL!! AHH!! (you'll understand after you watch the video)
anyways...more later!

Ok, so pretty much til kp is here and we do actual videos, this could end up not being as hysterical as we wanted it to be. oh well. lol
Tommorow, in Acting1 my group is lip-syncing (for a Pass/Fail grade) to "Holding Out for A Hero" from Footloose...complete with choreography by megan hudson. (ok, so I borrowed a little bit from riverstage's footloose, but a lot of the new stuff was me!) So it's dramatic and sexual...ok, maybe not lol. We do have a tough act to follow--another group is doing a complete version of "And I Am Telling You" from DreamGirls, complete with all of the guys being in wigs and sparkly dresses...I mean seriously, how do you top that? You can't.

I had my first "Angels in America" rehearsal today. I thought it went well--I can't wait til we block the Harper/Prior hallucination scene--I think that scene will be my favorite. The one where she's like, "I take Valium, LOTS of Valium" hehe I think we block it tommorow night.
Well, I have to go read "De Donde" for Race/Gender Drama Lit and then try to memorize lines and then study music theory. And I waited til 11:30 pm to do all of these things and I have my 9:25 ballet class tommorow.
busy day.

So here's another pic b/c i didn't love the last one lol

or this one!
So...I'm Megan. My friend Kaitlyn and I decided to make a blog (with inspiration from Andrew Keenan-Bolger's HILARIOUS video-blog). She's probably transferring here to the Musical Theatre department of NKU, and so we'll probably make videos once she gets here! (they'll be hysterical, we promise). But for now, a regular blog will have to do.
The reason our blog is called "a tale of 2 liesls" is b/c kp and i met while both playing liesl in "Sound of Music" at CenterStage last year...
Sorry, this one is kinda boring...More next time...gotta do some homework!
