Hi outside world.

Hi Internet...I've really missed you.

So rehearsal rehearsal rehearsal.

I feel like I truly dont trust blogs, like I trust my journal etc. I'm always afraid to discuss something that is going to be seen by someone and taken the wrong way etc.

Anyway--I've decided to babysit my life away this weekend...2 jobs (7:30-11:45 on Saturday and 9:15 AM-12:15) on Sunday. I miss Honky Tonk. I'd be completely lying if I said I didn't. I miss doing a show that I love and feel good about myself doing. It's been hard to do a show where my primary focus is doing something that is my weakness aka dance. But I'll do it and grow from it. It just is hard to not compare myself to the better dancers out there--I have to keep reminding myself that we all have our gifts etc.

Also, I'm on a new diet thing to make certain people happy at my school...not really a diet but I'm eating less and I've already lost weight. With dancing everyday and only eating hummus, reduced fat wheatthins, apples, ricecakes, 100 calorie packs and metabolism drinks for my water, who WOULDNT lose weight? But it's whatever. I've also been looking into writing some songs over the summer...I've got my guitar and I figure why not try. But we shall see. My birthday is Monday and I'm SO freakin excited to turn 21. Lots of fun.

4. days. off.

Ok, so we have a total of FOUR days off! YES! However, this means from here on out every single night, I'm getting worried about my birthday. I had planned to go to Bar Louie in Newport for my 21st and now I'm really worried we wont get out in time and such. ugh.
anyway--"Take Back Your Mink" went really well, and it'll be cute as pie too.

What am I going to do for four whole days? Well, besides babysitting on Saturday night, absolutely nothing I guess! "Gilmore Girls" it up and read etc.

wow, boring.

a drink sounds nice about now, too bad I have to wait another week!

Not Much.

WELLLLLLLLLLLL......I was born a Coal Miner's...ok, I'm cheesy.

It's whatever. Anyway, yesterday I went to the library for a few hours which I loved. I used to browse bookstores/libraries for hours trying to find stuff to read and I completely forgot til yesterday how much I love it. Anyways--I came back with tons of good books :)

Anyway, not much going on here in Falmouth, just rehearsals and such. We learn "Take Back Your Mink" tonight--yay for stripping lol

not much to report, except Adam should have won American Idol, not Kris. Just sayin'

I Love You, a Bushel and a Peck

Ok, first rehearsal, 2nd and 3rd have come and gone. Went well--we started choreography last night on "bushel and a peck"--kicklines. 2 kicklines.
I'm going to lose 10 lbs just from that one dance--which is great, it'll be super cute when we all figure it out.

Anyway--I do miss HTA. I got my guitar out the other day and started playing Coal Miner's Daughter out of habit lol Anyway, but Falmouth is beautiful and peaceful, and not tooo far (45 minutes) from NKU, so I'm currently waiting on my voice lesson with the fabulous Lisa. Starting to work on my audition material for fall auditions--and yepppp that's about it.

I was so excited today in my voice lesson, Lisa told me that doing HTA really strengthened things in my voice that I have been working on for the past year--yaaay! So excited about that!

In other news, I realized today that old habits are beginning to creep back. whoops....so, we shall see.

um...crisis averted?

Truly, stress is my middle name lol

Homeless much? I freaked out needless to say after i talked to dean. Completely freaked out. I cant believe I'm going to admit this (please mom never find this blog) but I actually smoked 2 cigs last night b/c I was stressing out so much, but that was fine, I never do that and dean and i went out on the fire escape and just chilled. Surprisingly it actually calmed me down (as did Monica and Tyler) But I called someone and she's going to figure something out (thank god). I was just ilke, "WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!"
my life is waaay to complicated for its own good.

BUT
tonight is closing :( bye darlene til June.

In other news:
2 weeks from today is my 21st birthday!!!

Rain Rain Go Away

Hello friends!
After 2 incredibly relaxing days in Louisville doing nothing but watching the Hills and Sex and the City and bonding with our new puppy...I am back in Newport.

The day recap:

So I literally packed up my life (which I'm getting pretty good at p.s.) and threw it in my car and began my trek to Newport. It was fine til it began raining cats and dogs. It was RIDICULOUS. And sooo much traffic. Traffic for days. I stopped at McAllister's on the way there and read my Kristen Chenoweth book that is amazing. But anyway, rain rain rain rain rain. AND I was wearing my blue dress--WTF. So anyway, after a freak out, and hydroplaning like 5 times, I made it to the theatre. and we did the show. yay. And now I'm at deans.
3 more shows. more later.

Recap on Life....

Well...it's been MONTHS since I've last written. Which is pretty shameful for me, last summer I literally wrote a blog a day (which I'm getting back to this summer).

Ok, recap:
HTA with Footlighters = love. I was terrified at first when I got cast (30-something songs with only 2 other people!) but this has turned into one of my favorite shows I've ever done....love it. I'm going to be sad to see it end but we get to revisit it for ACT so I guess it's not too sad. But still, I've really loved it and learned from it.

So we close on Saturday night. EEK! We've had 12 shows and the best audience EVER last night, they were so into it, it was great. AND the best part, there have been no body mic debacles with me in this show! *knocks on wood*, that's a FIRST! (for those of you who dont know I have been cursed with the unfortunate mic problem; in every show I've done it comes on at the most horrible times: when I'm going to the bathroom, when I'm running lines/songs with myself etc. It's so nice to be in a show where the audience leaves happy and has really enjoyed themselves....some of the shows I've done that is not the case (I still feel bad for my parents sitting through "Angels in America", lol) Anyway so yea.
